About Me
For nearly four decades I have been learning. Learning through superiors, peers, subordinates, and a myriad of networks that I have built including friends and family. I didn’t just learn economics and business, but gained wisdom, obtained knowledge, learnt to understand behaviour, and aided in changing lives of people around. Corporates from multinationals to local conglomerates provided me the platform to operate, whilst many an association, professional body, non-profit to other social communities, moulded me to become who I am today. I can boldly say that I am wiser by many-folds, patient to understand diversity in business and sharp as an eagle to spot potential and opportunity. The right fit at the right time is indeed a great responsibility for CEO’s who are expected to be proactive rather than reactive.
Education
Theory seems to have mostly evolved from practice and when you complete an MBA, you read for it and not study. Future centric action to drive business better stems from management accounting and that is not just a set of figures. Marketing relies more on our ability to position and reposition the proposition and align it better with customer needs and wants, as they keep changing and moving. That’s being relevant throughout.
Business schools and multi-cultural exposure through work arrangements world over gives you experience in diversity that is starkly different, as I leant from Singapore to Manila to Thailand to many other countries in East Asia. Binary codes keep haunting you no matter where or what position you hold in business and thus the roots of your programming as a teenager do not grow waste. In fact, it helps cope and understand better the emerging new economy. The multitude of professional training at various levels gives you self-confidence to overcome issues through the retained learnings and lessons.
